The Nudibranchs Eyeshadow Palette

The Nudibranchs Eyeshadow Palette is a 16 pan eyeshadow palette with 4 multi-chrome shimmers, 4 neons, and 8 Mattes. The color scheme as well as the shade names are inspired by different Nudibranchs!

Shade Descriptions: (Top to bottom, left to right)

H. Sanguineus: A deep, blood red matte shade inspired by the Spanish Dancer Nudibranch named for its blood red color. ("Sanguineus" comes from the latin word for "blood"!) 

Rosette: A bright, true red matte shade inspired by the rose-shaped formations Nudibranchs lay their eggs in. 

Rhinophore: A neon orange shade inspired by the bunny ear-like appendages that functions as an olfactory and chemo sensor 

Mollusca: A bright blue based multichrome that shifts to purple sparkles inspired by the phylum that nudibranchs belong to. 

F. Iodinia: A deep purple matte shade inspired by the Spanish Shawl Nudibranch named for the distinct purple color of its body ("Iodinea" comes from the latin word for "violet"!)  

Cnidocyte: A mid-tone purple matte shade named after stinging cells commonly found in nudibranchs (and other organisms like jellyfish!) 

Coral Reef: A neon pink shade inspired by where nudibranchs are commonly found (though they exist in a variety of places) 

Cerata: A bright orange-based multichrome that shifts to silver-green sparkles that is inspired by the fan like appendages on the back of the Spanish Shawl Nudibranch

G. Atlanticus: A deep blue matte shade inspired by the Blue Dragon Nudibranch.

Nematocyst: A mid tone blue shade inspired by the harpoon-like stinging cells found in some nudibranchs

Sea Lemon: A super bright yellow shade inspired by a very cute yellow nudibranch!

Sea Bunny: A silver-white incredibly sparkly multichrome inspired by a very cute nudibranch that resembles a bunny! (Tip: If you take your makeup pictures with a macro lens, you can see this shade has some rainbow reflects!) 

Nocturnal:  A true black matte shade inspired by the darkness that some nudibranchs live their life in.

N. Cristata: A deep, emerald- green matte shade inspired by the Sea Cabbage Nudibranch ("Cristata" comes from the latin word for "Crested", likely referring to the green crests on this slug!) 

Aposematic: A neon green shade named after the biological term referring to an animal's bright coloration and/or markings that signal toxicity to predators.

Leaf Sheep*: A highly reflective, sparkly emerald-green multichrome with a subtle blue-purple shift that is inspired by a very cute nudibranch with leaf-like appendages. 

*Full Disclosure: Because the green multichrome "Leaf Sheep" is intensely reflective and sparkly, it has a more emollient formula than other shadows from M81 Cosmetics. Please keep in mind this could lead to a bit of creasing with this shade if you have hooded and/ or oily lids. Using a good eyeshadow primer, placing this shade over powder eyeshadow, or placing it on the inner corner are a great ways to optimally wear this shade if this is of concern
