The Cake Chemistry Palette is a 12 pan eyeshadow palette with 4 multichrome shimmers and 8 buttery mattes. The color scheme as well as the shade names are inspired by cake aesthetic, and the chemistry involved in baking. The molecules on the cover are sucrose (table sugar), chicken albumin (the protein in eggs that allows for emulsion and structure in a baked good, and sodium bicarbonate (baking soda)

Shade Descriptions:
Cherry On Top: A brilliant true-red sparkly shimmer
Sucrose: A white matte inspired by sugar
Carbohydrate: a pastel brown matte. Carbohydrates are biomolecules with the empirical formula of Cm(H2O)n, and are the predominant macronutrient in baked goods.
Sprinkles: A hot pink/ magenta shimmer
Emulsion: A bright, pastel green matte. An emulsion is the mixture of two or more liquids that don't mix naturally due to differing molecular polarities. Emulsions are common in baking, for example butter cream frosting is an emulsion.
Lipid: A pastel yellow matte. Lipids are organic molecules with the empirical formula CH3(CH2)nCOOH. Lipids are commonly known as fats and are present in many ingredients for cake making including egg yolks and butter.
Confection: A purple based multichrome that shifts to orangy-pink sparkles
Birthday Cake: A bright blue matte. This shade is inspired by the classic blue frosting seen on birthday cakes.
Catalyst: A pastel orange matte. In the pan it has subtle gold sparkles, but on the eye it is a true matte. A catalyst is a substance that lowers the activation energy of a chemical reaction. Baking soda is a common catalyst in cake baking. This shade was supposed to be pastel pink like the cake on the cover, but this manufacturing error served as a catalyst for M81 cosmetics to afford to donate.
Icing: a white shimmer that shifts to a glowy purple-pink
Chemistry: A bright, pastel purple matte
Thermal Expansion: A magenta matte shade. Thermal expansion is the change in volume as a result of a change in temperature. This happens while a cake is being baked.
